Berahino Looking Forward To Etihad Trip

Striker says Potters will travel to Manchester tomorrow full of belief… SAIDO BERAHINO says he and his teammates are looking forward to the challenge of pitting their wits against one of the best sides in European Football on Wednesday.

The Potters travel to Manchester tomorrow evening bidding to throw a major spanner in the Citizens faint title-hopes and in the process establish their own position in the top half of the league table.

The former England U21 international is fully aware of the size of the task in front of the side, but feels they can travel north in confident mood following Saturday’s return to winning ways at the bet365 Stadium.

“They are a top team and we know it is going to be a really difficult evening, but we can go into the game on the back of a good performance and result at the weekend,” the 24-year-old said ahead of the game.

“We disappointed ourselves against Tottenham Hotspur, having enjoyed really good build-up to the fixture in Dubai, so it was important for us to show an immediate reaction.

“We have been working hard in training and we are doing all the preparation we can to make sure we go into the game on Wednesday in the best possible state of mind.
