Nathan Dyer created two goals as Swansea City stretched their lead at the top of the Premier League 2 Division 2 table to 10 points with a 3-2 win over Middlesbrough at the Swans’ training centre.

George Byers put Swansea ahead midway through the first half before a thrilling climax to the match produced four goals in the final 20 minutes.

Junior Mondal equalised for the visitors in the 70th minute, but within six minutes Swansea were 3-1 up after two Dyer crosses created goals for Oli McBurnie and Daniel James.

Boro captain Callum Cooke set up a nervous finish by pulling a goal back, but the Swans held on to stretch their lead over second-placed Newcastle United and leave Boro in 11th.

Both teams are back in action on Thursday evening in the Premier League International Cup with Swansea facing Chelsea at Aldershot and Boro taking on Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village.
