Everton target Nikola Kalinic prefers a move to AC Milan, according to Sky in Italy.

It is understood the Toffees are prepared to pay £22.85m for the Fiorentina striker, but he would like to remain in Italy.

AC Milan are on a major spending spree this summer as they look to re-establish themselves among Europe’s elite clubs, having finished sixth in Serie A last season.

Kalinic is a Croatia international who previously spent time at Blackburn Rovers in Premier League between 2009 and 2011.

The 29-year-old has scored 33 goals in 84 appearances for Fiorentina since a 2015 move from Ukranian side Dnipro.
