Huddersfield Town’s Elias Kachunga and Chris Lowe sign new deals

Striker Elias Kachunga and left-back Chris Lowe have signed new contracts with Premier League new boys Huddersfield Town.

Lowe has committed his future to the club for an extra season, with his new deal running until the summer of 2020, the same length of contract Kachunga has also signed.

The Terriers also have a club option to extend both deals by a further year.
Lowe barely missed a game in Huddersfield’s run to promotion via the Sky Bet Championship play-offs, while Kachunga was the club’s leading scorer with 12 league goals.

Huddersfield head coach David Wagner said: „It’s very important that Chris and Elias have committed their futures to Huddersfield Town by signing new contracts.

„Both Chris and ‘Kache’ were big players for the team as we gained promotion to the Premier League last season.

„I knew they were both high-quality footballers when they arrived, but they deserve so much credit for the way they adapted to English football so quickly. That is testament to their characters and personalities as much as their footballing ability.
