Everton boss Ronald Koeman has admitted before Tuesday’s clash against Arsenal that his side have under-performed in their last ten matches.
The Toffees started the season superbly, winning four and drawing one of their first five Premier League encounters, but Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Watford extended their run since late September to just one victory – against West Ham – in their last ten games.
Former Southampton boss Koeman said: „We need to resolve the problems now – that’s all about the commitment and the players.
„If I am an Evertonian, I will also be disappointed with the last ten games. That’s not what we need to do. That’s under-performing.
„It’s not about Saturday. There is no time to wait and look back.“
Koeman has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Tuesday’s fixture which Everton are 7/2 to win.
The only definite absentees are Mo Besic and Yannick Bolasie who are both ruled out with cruciate knee ligament injuries.
Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku is 6/4 to score at any time against the Gunners after he brought his own poor recent record to an end by scoring twice at Vicarage Road.
However, Stefano Okaka’s brace and a Sebastian Prodl goal ensured Everton slumped to another disappointing defeat.
„A striker always wants to score so I happy to have done so,“ said the Belgian. „I always try to score the goals to help my team win. But to score two goals and not win the game is difficult.“
