Reading agree £1.25m deal to sign Modou Barrow from Swansea

Reading have agreed a deal in the region of £1.25m to sign Modou Barrow from Swansea.

The 24-year-old winger is now understood to be discussing personal terms over a permanent move to the Sky Bet Championship side.

Barrow spent the second half of last season on loan at Leeds, where he played under the man who originally bought him for Swansea – Garry Monk – but only managed five league appearances.
He started last season in great form for Swansea under Francesco Guidolin and then Bob Bradley, but was unwanted by his successor Paul Clement.

Clement has once again deemed Barrow surplus to requirements in his Swans squad and he is set to leave the Liberty Stadium after three years.

Swansea signed the Gambian-born forward for £1.5m from Ostersunds FK in 2014, with Barrow having moved to Sweden at the age of nine.

He also spent time on loan at Blackburn and Nottingham Forest during his time with the Swans, for whom he made 54 appearances and scored twice.Euro Soccer Bonus
