Swansea City boss Clement confident of survival

Swansea City boss Paul Clement believes his side have the quality and the character to avoid relegation from the Premier League this season ahead of their clash with Leicester City on Sunday.

The Swans have seen an upturn in fortunes since Clement’s arrival at the Liberty Stadium, although they were just edged out 2-1 by Manchester City in their last outing on Sunday.

With the Welsh outfit still one point above the relegation zone, former Derby manager Clement feels the team are moving in the right direction and should have enough to avoid the drop this term.

He was quoted by the BBC, saying: „We have belief in each other that we’re a good side and can play good football.

„We believe we can defend and we’re going to need to do that as we’ve got 14 games to go and we have to do that in every one.

„If we keep performing like we did in the second half, then I have belief that we will not be in the bottom three by the end of the season.“
